I've a problem with my computer. When I'm opening a file thats in a folder (also in desktop folder) this folder hangs (I can't interract wih other files in folder or close or minimalize it), and the file opens afer almost a minute. It doesn't matter if it's a small txt, pdf, xls, doc... But I've noticed that when I turn my network connection off, then the problem dissappears. I've used net use to find out if i have anything mapped but i don't. This is a company computer, but nothing changed recently in IT.

There are either too many possible answers, or good answers would be too long for this format. Please add details to narrow the answer set or to isolate an issue that can be answered in a few paragraphs. If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

Do you have a firewall installed? It could be that the firewall sends your files to some server for verification. (still shouldn't be that slow though) – Mixxiphoid Jul 24 '13 at 9:49
Just run sfc /scannow from admin command prompt to make sure windows files are good. – tumchaaditya Jul 30 '14 at 20:13
