I have an issue with explorer in Windows 8. When I try to create, move or delete a file or folder, nothing happens. At least, that's how it appears. If I navigate out of my current directory and back into it again, the operation is complete.

I'm usually used to it refreshing straight away to display the completed action however for some reason over the last couple of days it has stopped doing this. I read elswhere that there was a certain service that needed to be stopped and restarted and this working for 5 minutes but then the same problem persisted afterwards.

Any ideas?

I understand that there are registry fixes for this but I cannot seem to find the keys that need to be changed in my registry.

I'm using an x64 OS (probably a stupid thing to say as I'm sure all Windows 8 installs are x64 nowadays).
