Okay, let me paint the picture: I recently got a new build, using an old (unused but slightly scratched) Windows XP disc until I can afford 7.

However, my mouse (Razer Deathadder) and keyboard (Razer Arctosa) do not work. They work fine when moving around in the BIOS and they even work when it asks me to press F6 to do a third party thing.

The LEDs on my peripherals turn off (and so does the device itself) right when it wants me to press either Enter, to set up XP, R to repair or F3 to quit.

Could someone please help me and my dilemma? Any help is much appreciated.

Probably the most obvious question would be, have you installed the latest drivers? Windows XP is fairly ancient by today's standards, and chances are your BIOS has better support for modern devices. – happy_soil Jul 30 '13 at 10:31
Thanks for that, but I solved it. I plugged in a ps/2 keyboard, and before the screen changed I held down enter. Thanks for the help. :) – Luke Jul 30 '13 at 13:54
