I have a blue ray disk with a lot of files stored in it. My problem is that I cannot read the disk with a blue ray disk drive; I'm not sure if it is formatted differently since windows cannot load any of the files.

I want to boot up linux and see if it could read it there, but I don't know how using either Knoppix or Hiren's boot cd.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Why don't you just use Ubuntu just follow the online instructions. –  Ramhound Jul 30 '13 at 18:01
