I could use Flash CS4's feature - File > Import -> Import Movie... then you can select a player from the wizard – Mauris Oct 29 '09 at 15:42
double that ! Default Flash CS3 or CS4 player. It has everything you need and if you want more you can always redesign the skin file... – eugeneK Oct 29 '09 at 15:50

Always has to be VLC!

-1, user specifically asked for a Flash Player. VLC isn't it. – Ryan Gooler Sep 16 '10 at 7:21
@Ryan Gooler, I suggest you reread the question, he asked for a player of .mp3 and .flv files - VLC does this, he did not say a player made in flash. – William Hilsum Sep 16 '10 at 9:51

question is "Free Flash Player for .flv and .mp3", sounds like he wants a player, in flash, for flv and mp3. – Ryan Gooler Sep 30 '10 at 0:16

You can try KMPlayer. It supports FLV and MP3 formats, and it has internal codecs. I've been using KMP for a long time without any problems.

KMPlayer is excellent, and you can play most movies without installing those large codec packs! – thenonhacker Oct 29 '09 at 19:38

MPC or Media Player Classic (included in CCCP or XP Codec Pack or K-Lite Codec Pack) will do the job just fine.

Media Player Classic + CCCP = awesome compatibility. – Nathaniel Oct 29 '09 at 19:40

You can use http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/ for non-commercial products.

the FLVPlayback component, if you don't have kbytes issues, else give a look at the Open Video Player project.

Cornel, are you asking for a standalone player that handles FLV and MP3, or do you want a Flash movie (swf) that can play both FLV and MP3? If it's the latter, you could do much worse than the JW Player. Of course, in that case this would have to move back to Stack Overflow ....

Adobe Strobe media player is a freebie .swf that plays many formats. – Jon Apr 28 '11 at 20:44
