i need a tutorial how i can install and use cgroup on ubuntu to control multiple vlc instances. every innstance of vlc can use only 300MB RAM.

unfortunalty i was not able to confiugre it right. i installed it using this in ubuntu: sudo apt-get install cgroup-bin

i also know i need to edit /etc/cgconfig.config and mount my settings.

finaly i would like to be able to start my VLC instance by just using maximaly 300MB, if it uses more, the instance needs to be killed.

maybe there is also a way to restart the instance again, but right now it is more important to kill the process.
