From http://agnipulse.com/2011/11/partition-usb-flash-drive/ am I right in believing that the USB boot emulation is controlled by nothing more than the partition table, and therefore any USB drive is capable of any of these emulations?

If so, can anyone suggest a simple way of telling what the current emulation of a particular USB drive is, in either Windows or Linux?
