I use mDNS to address my Ubuntu VM that runs in VMware fusion on Mac OSX host. I use "Bridged (Wifi)" networking for the VM. I use it on my office and home network.

The problem is every time I change the Wifi network the machine becomes un-addressable with the mDNS name. I just close my macbook pro lid when I carry it to home or office; so it's sleeping but I don't explicitly pause/shutdown the VM.

To get the mDNS to work again I have to restart the VM. I haven't found any other way.

Is there any way I can do this without rebooting the VM? Better yet, any configuration change that makes this happen automatically?
