Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

So I have a Truecrypt (TC) container in my host OS (windows7) that i want to access through my VM running LUbuntu with vmware. So I've installed TC in LUbuntu, and shared the folder containing my container in vmware (seen as "/hgfs/container" in LUbuntu). Then running TC in LUbuntu, it mounts the container as /media/truecrypt1. So far so good.

BUT i can't write anything on the folder /media/truecrypt1, even as superuser. I can read anything that is on the mounted volume, but can't create folders, or copy files there ....

Any idea how to solve this ?

Knowing that i do NOT want to mount the container on the host OS (win7) (and then sharing the folder with the guest).

Thx for your answers :)
