I believe some of the networking professionals out there would have seen CBT Nuggets Cisco CCENT ICND1 640-822, by Jeremy Cioara. The subnetting process explained in this video series is revered by a lot of networking people. But I don't understand just one thing.

Why does he split the network range into equal sub-networks? What if one part of the network requires many number of subnets and another part of the network requires only a few subnets?

P.S. I've also asked the same doubt here. But no satisfactory answers. I've been confused for over a week. People who have not actually seen the video, please don't discourage the question. You'll understand the question clearly only if you've seen the video.
