Based on this question: How do I permanently reset the time zone in Debian? I've reset my time using dpkg-reconfigure, but the time in the bottom right has stayed the same, a two hour difference from what is listed in the command window.

When will the time in the bottom right be updated? Is it only upon a restart, or do I need to do something else to prompt the menu update in xfce?
