I updated my laptop to Debian 7 recently, with gnome 3. When I close the laptop with the computer on, if I open it up, the wifi has shut off. In order to get it to automatically recognize the router, I have to open up the network settings, and toggle the airplane mode off then on.

Is there any way that this can be done automatically so that when I open the laptop I automatically reconnect to the router?
