So about a week ago, my logic board went out on my Macbook Pro (early 2011 unibody). So that was a bummer but the real kicker is that when I removed the HDD and tried to boot the drive externally from another Mac, it seems there is no GPT table on the HDD... I would love an explanation how this may have happened or if someone else has had a similar experience?

So I have been using TestDrive to try and sort this out but it can't locate any partitions whatsoever. I would really appreciate some help fixing this, had some important research data on the hdd that didn't make it to my most recent backup :-/ Thanks in advance.
