I just want to confirm that Windows Explorer is what is crashing. When it does crash, you lose your desktop, until the process is automatically restarted by Windows. – Ramhound Aug 29 '13 at 11:31
The desktop isn't lost, but all folder windows are gone. – Zephram Aug 29 '13 at 11:40
Have you performed the normal steps to verify the integrity of your installation? – Ramhound Aug 29 '13 at 11:43
No, where do I find these steps? – Zephram Aug 29 '13 at 11:50
Lets start with sfc /scannow within command prompt. – Ramhound Aug 29 '13 at 11:53
