Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

It's pretty infamous that Windows 8 is suited more for tablets than PC since there are quite a few features intended just for tablets.

My question is: if I connect a Wacom Cintiq tablet for instance, to a PC that runs Windows 8, will I get access to these features? or I must get a portable "standalone" general-purpose tablet for that?

Does the answer vary between Cintiq and Cintiq touch?
P.S: I pick Cintiq as an example because I don't know if there are others like it.
