I would like to achieve the following setup:

One computer with two monitors – one in landscape (monitor A), the other in portrait orientation (B) – and a viewer that shows images from a directory.
When the viewer encounters an image in portrait orientation it shows the image on monitor B and when the image is in landscape it is shown on monitor A.
All images to be viewed are photos with EXIF data intact so the orientation is recorded in the EXIF.

Ideally this would work on a Mac, but any solution for Windows or Ubuntu is also acceptable.
