Recently I moved my home office to another room in the house and I noticed a lot of drop-offs and poor signal problems with my wireless router. So, I purchased a Netgear Wi-Fi Range Extender from Amazon.

Initially it worked very well (and was incredibly easy to setup), however recently I am finding after a few hours of connectivity from my laptop to my range extender I am getting the same drop-offs that I was experiencing before. Strangely, Windows 7 still reports the signal as 5 bars but I constantly get disconnected and experience slow connection problems.

This almost never happens in the first 3-4 hrs of the connection, but soon after that point it seems to give up and it becomes really flakey.

What would cause this to happen?

I have a Huawei Wireless router and a Netgear WN3000RP Wi-Fi Range Extender.
