I'm trying to convert a rmvb video to avi format. I'm using this command line:

ffmpeg -i in.rmvb out.avi

But I get this errors:

I have no idea how to fix this.

This could be a bug. Could you please try with a more recent version from ffmpeg.org/download.html? Or the file itself is damaged… Does the file play fine in other players and/or ffplay? –  slhck Sep 8 '13 at 16:05

Lastest version give me same error. It's play fine totally on windows, but on linux there's some problem with audio (I tested on VLC). But I don't think that it's the probrem because I've already converted –  Jack Sep 8 '13 at 16:44

VLC is based on the same libraries ffmpeg uses, so chances are it'll choke on the same file. If the file works in other players, you could consider filing a bug report if you can supply the sample that ffmpeg cannot read. –  slhck Sep 8 '13 at 17:54

I didn't find the solution. I just used other software. The factory, that did fine the conversion (yes, I go to on windows to do this). –  Jack Sep 9 '13 at 1:58

Is there a way you can give us a sample? If other players work, it'd be good to fix whatever causes ffmpeg problems. –  slhck Sep 9 '13 at 5:14
