Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a web application that can present a mobile web-optimized version of the UI when you add some parameters to a URL. Right now, you have to manually add those parameters for every URL you want to see in mobile mode, eg. http://website.com/index.html?mobile=yes

I'd like so see if I can automate this by sending my mobile client to a proxy that then appends the parameters to every url I go to on the target site.

Does anyone have some pointers on this? The following redirects and appends the right stuff, but the client still shows the target server's URLs, so further requests bypass the proxy, which is not what I want:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^(.*) http://www.target.co.uk/$1?mobile=true&new=true

ProxyRequests Off
ProxyPassMatch ^(.*) http://www.target.co.uk/$1 keepalive=On
ProxyPassReverse / http://www.target.co.uk/
