Wondering if I can get some help with this. I just installed the newest kernel on fedora 19, and Network Manager doesn't show me my wired connection anymore (p4p1) ifup p4p1 gives the following error :

no device found for connection p4p1.

and it is not visible in ifconfig. I don't understand whats going on, it has an if script. It is however visible under the "Network Connections" application

Which kernel version? What do you mean by it has an if script? What exactly is visible in "Network Connections"? All that shows is configured connections not network interfaces. Could you post the output of ifconfig? –  terdon Sep 9 '13 at 15:23
