I've tried for a while to find a solution to stop Outlook from taking a lot of my disk space.

As I can see, Outlook takes up approximately 5 GB to 10 GB of space.

I'd like to know if there is any mean by which I could set a limit of space used?

When the older mail get deleted and not synced anymore, will the new ones still get downloaded?
