According to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2020918

"Note The Audio Recording Redirection feature is not available in Windows Professional edition."

Does anyone have a workaround for this? I assume the page is referring to the computer making the RDP connection - that it's unable to redirect a recording device to the client machine? Unfortunately I'm stuck with no options to use a different version of Windows 7..

I would assume some kind of virtual USB Microphone device would work for this as I see you can share devices under local resources > local devices > more > upnp in the RDP settings window? So I'll need something that clones my mic and outputs recordings via a virtual usb driver, or have I got the wrong idea?

Any better ideas or software I could use to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance
