I set up a dual-boot system (Windows 8 then Ubuntu). I mounted the partition that contains Windows with the ro (read-only) parameter successfully. Now every time I choose Windows NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM BSODs prevent me from accessing the system.

I've seen in SU and other forums that booting on the Windows Recovery CD and running chkdsk solves this problem but on my case the recovery cd won't detect my system (nothing shows up on 'Choose an operating system' menu). Maybe because GRUB2 is the active boot manager.

What should I do?
