I have a few videos that are .IMG and are not getting mounted on my Mac. It says “File Not Recognised.” The same files always mounted on my Windows 7 using Daemon Tools, but it is not working on the Mac. I even tried changing the File extension to .ISO and .DMG neither seem to work.

The following question has a few solutions that might work. I suspect the .IMG file is simply not in the correct format. superuser.com/questions/276821/mount-img-file-as-cd-on-mac?rq=1 in the end you might have to create a new image file in a different format like .ISO to resolve this problem. – Ramhound Sep 13 '13 at 12:41

Perhaps you can open them directly without any hassle if you install and use VLC video player: videolan.org/vlc – Br.Bill Sep 17 '13 at 22:44
