I have a PC that has a dying hard drive. Because it would not boot, I created a bootable USB drive with Hiren on it. It boots to MiniXP OK and I can see the old C:\ disk. I can see my network and some of the computers on it.

My Network Places/Entire Network/Microsoft Windows Network/<Workgoup>/ only shows 2 of the 4 other computers on the network, but I can see the others by searching for them from explorer. An IP scan finds all my network PC's and I can ping them all, but I get Access denied errors when I try to open any of the other PC's to see the shares.

<computer name> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource

MiniXP has no options I can find for users, etc.

** UPDATE **

After a couple of reboots I can now see all the network PC's in My Network Places... but still can't open them. I can access the internet no problem (one of the network PC's is DHCP server/Internet gateway).
