Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm trying to download a file via cURL, but it seems to go boink because of (I think) some redirect script. Here is my request:

curl --trace-ascii trace.txt -u user:pass "http://www.ims-dm.com/cgi/securedownload.php?p=WIREFTPM&prodtype=wire/WIRE-FULL-AUG13.TXT.zip" -O

It outputs the trace file and the .zip file, but the .zip is a ~corrupted~, and if you open as a .html file is a page asking you to sign on to view.

I'm open to using wget or PowerShell to do this if cURL can't get through.
