I am creating hundreds of instances of the same photograph using layer comps. Part of the process requires me to add a reflection to all of these images, the problem being the reflection changes according to instance.

As of now I have "the plate" on one layer and the "reflection" on another in a separate group. I need to maintain independent opacity control over the reflection layers because intensity should vary according to instance.

The problem I am running into is that I can't figure out a way to link the visibility of the "Plate" layer and "reflection" to make a speedy layer comping process. Imagine two groups with 50+ layers in them and toggling the top of each list every time you make a single comp.

Why not put the reflection layer and plate in their own groups together, then just toggle each group? –  John Oct 10 '13 at 21:21
