I am tasked with providing a report with data visualizations via an excel file. I would like to make use of web visualization information (especially Google Spreadsheets charts, but maybe others) for these reports.

Is there any way to import HTML or Javascript charts into Exel workbooks?

As for the obvious "why not just use Google Spreadsheets?" I have to use Excel for reasons beyond my control.

Excel has a very powerful charting engine and it can be customized with VBA. HTML or JavaScript won't work inside Excel. But dynamic charts are easy to create. You need to be a bit more specific about your requirements, though. –  teylyn Sep 30 '13 at 20:48
