Here is my scenario:

Hyper-V host 1

  • network 1 (192.168.1.0) LAN
  • network 2 (192.168.5.0) Replication LAN

Hyper-V host 2

  • network 1 (192.168.1.0) LAN
  • network 2 (192.168.5.0) Replication LAN

Idea is that Hyper-v replica function should work on the dedicated LAN.

In the host file on both servers the other server is registered with the Replication LAN address.

Replication works fine through the replication LAN.

Route table has been modified to use smaller metrics on all related replication LAN routes.

Now when I run robocopy the traffic go through the LAN instead of Replication LAN.

Do somebody know why is this happening, this is quite simple setup for poc and validation however not working as expected.
