I recently set up a VPN using OpenVPN Server running on Debian OS as a guest OS. I am running the virtual machine with VirtualBox. I can connect local and remote systems (as well as other guest OSs) to the VPN successfully, and they are communicating.
My host OS (the one running the virtual machine running the server) cannot communicate however. It can ping other systems on the VPN successfully, but they cannot ping the host OS. My purpose of setting up the VPN in the first place was to make a network drive available remotely, so I really need the host OS to be able to communicate.
Has anyone run into this before, and/or any suggestions to solve it?
FYI my host OS is Windows 7
