My operating system is Windows 7. I installed cygwin. I wanted to start the XWin Server with the startxwin command and it terminates with the error:

Couldn't open compiled keymap file /var/lib/xkb/server-0.xkm
(EE) XKB: Failed to load keymap. Loading default keymap instead.
(EE) Couldn't open compiled keymap file /var/lib/xkb/server-0.xkm
XKB: Failed to compile keymap
Keyboard initialization failed. This could be a missing or incorrect setup of xkeyboard-config.
Fatal server error: Failed to activate core devices.
Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file.
winDeinitMultiWindowWM - Noting shutdown in progress
startxwin: giving up
startxwin: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused
startxwin: server error

When I check the location /var/lib/xkb/ there is no file by the name server-0.xkm. How do I create a compiled keymap again?

In http://www.x.org/archive/X11R7.5/doc/man/man1/xkbcomp.1.html it says that the command xkbcomp works as xkbcomp [option] source [ destination ] and under the optons it says

-xkb
Generate a source description of the keyboard as output (.xkb extension).
-xkm
Generate a compiled keymap file as output (.xkm extension).

But to generate a source description as output or compiled keymap as output it asks for an input file and I don't know what input to give. If someone could help me out in creating this server-0.xkm it would be highly appreciated.
