I'm currently trying to install PF_RING on my arch linux: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ntop/files/PF_RING/ But when I run make I get the following error:

cd kernel; make
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/godard_b/PF_RING-5.6.1/kernel'
make -C /lib/modules/3.4.65-1-MANJARO/build SUBDIRS=/home/godard_b/PF_RING-5.6.1/kernel
EXTRA_CFLAGS='-I/home/godard_b/PF_RING-5.6.1/kernel -DSVN_REV="\"Unversioned
directory\""'  modules
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-3.4.65-1-MANJARO'

make[3]: *** [__modpost] Error 1

make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/godard_b/PF_RING-5.6.1/kernel'

I really don't know where to look for to get rid of this error. How can I solve it? Thanks for your help

This question came from our site for professional and enthusiast programmers.

Does your kernel is the Arch one ? or one you compiled yourself ? FATAL: vmlinux has no symtab?maybe because your kernel is somewhat stripped –  Mali Oct 14 '13 at 10:19
