I'm running Ubuntu Server 12.4 and I have installed ubuntu-desktop.

At first, I tried to connect to WLAN after installing some GUI components but didn't work so I modified /etc/network/interfaces according to Ubuntu instructions and connected to WLAN and Internet perfectly for few days, but now it's not so.

Every time I shutdown and start ubuntu server again I have to run /etc/init.d/networking restart to get the WLAN working. Only change I guess I did was removing the GUI component for networking and afterwards the Network icon is not visible on the upper right corner of taskbar. How can I solve this?
