I'm using the Ubuntu.

I'm using the virtual box. Where the Guest is Ubuntu and the Host is also Ubuntu and I want to share the folders in them.
I can do it in Windows OS normally either it as the guest or host I can do it without any problem.
I am finding it very difficult to get Ubuntu to share folders.
Can any one tell me how to use shared folders inside of the Ubuntu 12.04 via the virtual box guest additions. I had installed the guest addition also even though I tried many ways but there is any error of it saying it as the media/sf_shared is error.

I have suggested an edit to make your question more comprehensible. Could you please specify in more details what did you already try and could you please add the exact error messages (copy them)? Edit: Unfortunately the edit was rejected by "Community" and a less thorough edit was accepted :( – pabouk Oct 30 '13 at 7:57
prabha, I have attempted to make your question readable through an edit, unfortunately, the last sentence has me stumped. Do you mean that guest additions failed to install? – Tog Oct 30 '13 at 7:59
@Tog: I am not a native speaker of English but I think I got the question. I do not know why my edit was rejected but you can use it and probably correct my mistakes: – pabouk Oct 30 '13 at 8:05
