Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a computer that is playing some video streaming from the Internet.

And basically I want to "transfer" (or re-stream, or broadcast...) this video to other computer (only 1 PC) in other network... I mean, I want to be able to watch that stream from other computer...

I'm really lost, I don´t even know where to start from... what are the tools I need? do you know any good tutorial on this?

Note 1: I'm using Windows 7 in both computers.

Note 2: obviously I´d prefer free tools, but I´d be willing to pay if it´s not too much and works great...

Just to prove that I´ve tried many things so far, but nothing is working:

  • I "could make it working" by doing screencast through UStream Producer, but it implies that I´m broadcasting to a public UStream channel, and it dosen´t work well and video in the channel is really low quality...

  • I tried to get the stream with VLC and then bradcast it, but I can´t even reproduce the streaming in VLC, so no way I can´t bradcast it...

  • I tried to broadcast the screen through VLC, but it´s not working...

  • I tried to use TeamViewer, and obviously I can see the video, but again with really low quality...
