I would like to limit bandwidth on specific interface, e.g. eth0, at my local Linux machine with tc.

Reason for that is that my Linux machine repeatedly eat all ADSL bandwidth available, e.g. while I download something via Chrome other computers suffer hard. :-/

Closest answer that I found is: http://lartc.org/lartc.html#LARTC.RATELIMIT.SINGLE - but I really just want something simple: set up X Kbps (download and upload if possible) bandwidth limit on interface eth0 at my local Linux machine.

Thank you very much.
