First off, I am not a professional network or system administrator. I am a software developer, wanting to set up my little developement environment on my new notebook. I am trying to use Hyper-V for the matter but could not find a way to create a shared folder between my Debian 7 guest. So far I found some ambigous answers on the internet as to how is this is possible, if it is possible at all. So, I am hoping that someone would come and give me instructions on how to do this, or at least point me to some directions.

Thanks is advance!

Setup networking properly so the systems can reach each other. Then treat the Debian VM exactly the same way you would treat it as if it was physical hardware. Samba is the SMB/CIFS server. –  Zoredache Nov 15 '13 at 19:06
