Is there any good download manager available for firefox in Ubuntu 9.10?

Because the default downloading in firefox is quite slow. Hence the question.

You may recommend an addon for firefox or a separate software is greatly appreciated.

DownThemAll.

If I am using Firefox, i absolutely insist on using DownThemAll.

DownThemAll (or just dTa) is a powerful yet easy-to-use Mozilla Firefox extension that adds new advanced download capabilities to your browser.

DownThemAll lets you download all the links or images contained in a webpage and much more: you can refine your downloads by fully customizable criteria to get only what you really want.

DownThemAll is all you can desire from a download manager: it features an advanced accelerator that increases speed up to 400%, it allows you to pause and resume downloads at any time and, last but not least, it's fully integrated into your favorite browser!

@Molly: What trick? The one where I barely answer the question (only to refine later), or the one where I get past the character limit? :P – David Pearce Nov 10 '09 at 1:56

How do I link it to the file, the one which I want to download? – ravi Nov 10 '09 at 2:15
axel -n 10 -a url -a picks the alternate interface which is less cluttered, and takes up less resources, and -n 10 means you're downloading with 10 parallel streams – Journeyman Geek Nov 10 '09 at 9:30
