I wouldn't call this a client; I'd call it a Google Talk to Twitter interface. – dlamblin Nov 10 at 4:47

+1 ping.fm. Of course, I drink with the guy who started it, so I'm biased. – Joseph Holsten Nov 10 at 15:20
Ping.fm only supports a single Twitter account :-( – Casebash Nov 11 at 11:06
Filttr and Ping.fm are quite unreliable – Casebash Nov 20 at 6:31

Since it is not for professional usage, you can use ping.fm or filttr. If you need something professionnal and 100% reliable it is really simple using the xmpppy and the Twitter API to have a crontab sending each minutes your new tweet. – Natim Nov 20 at 7:19

You might have a look at digsby, whose private beta has added Twitter support.

Also FriendFeed over IM :

Read and share however you want — from your email, your phone or even from Facebook. Publish your FriendFeed to your website or blog, or to services you already use, like Twitter.

You can use http://sourceforge.net/projects/twitter-xmpp/ by simply adding twitter@devrandom.net to your buddy list and sending it the !help message.

Good luck
