Just try using Creately. It's really easy to use, it's free and there's no need to install anything. You can collaborate with others online on your diagrams, so this kind of solves your problem. Given the speed of Google Wave at the moment, I advise you to stick to something else, such as the web app I mentioned. From the Creately web site:

Not that I know of. There seems to be a developement for such starting at kenai.com. There's also a service for hosting and editing UML diagrams online at umlcanvas.org that can be linked to Wave - but only for display. The general UmlCanvas system seems rather flexible, so someone might create a collaborative editing gadget for it in the future. You might also be interested in a vector editor gadget under developement, that might suit the purpose, at least for very simple diagrams. Here's a direct gadget link for adding it to a wave:
