It has to be FOSS, facilitate brainstorming, protocol building and some kind of tast tracking. I basically looking for an alternative to ideascale.com, uservoice.com/ getsatisfaction.com. The main requirement is that it is FOSS, since we need to mantain control of the infromation on it and since a good deal of development will go into it it will also benefit from the submissions. Any thoughts?

Are you only looking for open source, web based solutions? I've used a very good open source solution called FreeMind in the past. It doesn't do everything you need, but mind mapping and light project/task management. Hope this helps. | |||

I would suggest IdeaTorrent as a possible solution as well. You can host it internally; or alternatively, SourceForge now provisions IdeaTorrent as an optional resource for hosted development projects. | |||
