In Windows 8 how to remove entries in the Run line history?

I entered an incorrect command name and need to remove it from the list. Right click gives a delete but it does not remove it from the history and is still there.

The reg key given

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU

is for Windows 7 and the Control Panel > Appearances and Personalization >Task bar and Start Menu is also Windows 7.

In Windows 8 there is no Start Menu control listed to clear entries or remove individual entries in the run line history. It does not make sense to have moved this from an obvious needed user control by Microsoft.
