Try uninstalling the device and it's driver it's entirely possible the drive is not fully functional – Ramhound Dec 15 '13 at 16:30
By rightclicking and removing it, or how would you preferably uninstall it? Thanks for the fast answer! – NewHouse Dec 15 '13 at 16:34
I am clearly talking about uninstall the driver from Device Manager. As I explained its possible the drive is simply malfunctioning, the removal of a device, and the reinstallation of the driver will confirm if that's the case. – Ramhound Dec 15 '13 at 16:54
Sometimes they just go bad. Of all the ones that did not work on computers I fixed, replacing them was the way to go. – Jack Dec 16 '13 at 2:54
