Camera, GPS, compass - they've all become cheap enough (sub $20) to put in mass market consumer electronics recently.
What's next?
Links to evidence a plus ;)

| It's impossible to objectively answer this question; questions of this type are too open ended and usually lead to confrontation and argument. |

I am quite taken by the Sixth Sense device.
Once the Ah-factor lowers and people start thinking about the possibilities more seriously, More generally, its the combination of new technologies that will create interesting products. |

Flexible displays you can roll up and unroll again. Probably based on a fast color e-ink. Here is a link to a non e-ink prototype |

I'd love to see 3D printers (stereolithography) and laser cutters follow the same price curve that laser printers and hard drives have had. I don't see either of them being a "must have" item for every home anytime soon, but... Small projectors (like the one in the sixth sense device mentioned by nik) are probably going to be ubiquitous and cheap pretty soon. I expect to see them more and more in phones and other devices. This might drive down the price of larger, high quality projectors as well. |
