I'm thinking of using a poor man's solution to backup my git repos (they are not huge). I have a notebook, no server/vps/nas at home. These are my pet projects, so 1-2 mbyte each, not a big deal. Are there any drawbacks using google drive for this? I'm thinking of creating the repos under google driver folder and let gdrive sync it on the fly as I work.

Env: Windows 7 x64

I never test that. But technically it will be work. Another way to backup your git repos (without google drive) it's to add github (for public repos) or bitbucket (for public or private) remote on each repository. –  ChoiZ Feb 3 at 11:22
