Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have one folder with subfolders and files in my home directory(owner and group is me and permissions are 775). I have symbolic link from that directory to htdocs. This configuration works well, as expected. I have a copy of the same folder in my ntfs partition mounted in fstab with the same owner, group and permissions. When I do a symbolic link from that folder in ntfs partition to htdocs then - error 403 (read access forbidden).

fstab: /dev/sdaX /media/user/winPartition ntfs rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=1000,group_id=1000,default_permissions,allow_other,umask=002,uid=1000,gid=1000, 0 0

So whats wrong? Any ideas? Thanks
