I have used Hydra IRC for a long time with no issues. If you use Firefox a lot you might want to give ChatZilla a go. Here is a comparison of IRC clients on Wikipedia. |

I like Digsby for my main IM client, but Pidgin does an excellent job at allowing you to easly communicate through IRC. |
