I am trying to capture screen shots from a movie for my research and I tried it for every second. Both VLC and GSpot say that the fps is 25, so I set the recording ratio at 25. It is a 2 hour movie, which is 7200 seconds, so I should have got 7200 images. Instead, I only got 6100 images. Does the recording ratio in VLC player not refer to frames per second after all and how would I then go about getting one image for every second of recording? Thanks and my apologies if this is a dumb question. Didnt want to use VLC for this in the first place, we have an in house software for this but it doesnt work with .mxf files which is what the format for this video is, so I had to use VLC in the end.
