I have looked at all of my settings. I have made sure my computer, word, and windows, and the control panel all default to English. However, everytime I open a new word document and want to spell check the document, the spell check language is Spanish (Mexican). I change it again to English and the next word appears in Spanish again. I don't know how to fix this!

What language packs do you have installed for Office? – Ramhound Mar 15 '14 at 23:22
Just English so far – user308070 Mar 16 '14 at 0:10
I find that unlikely since you by your own admission have a Spanish dictionary installed. Provide a picture of the Word Optionswindow for us. What language is your Windows installation set to? What language packs do you have installed? – Ramhound Mar 16 '14 at 0:12
I don't have a spanish dictionary- I don't even speak spanish. I just installed Microsoft word a week ago and have not done anything to it yet (in terms of customization – user308070 Mar 16 '14 at 0:20
Still...provide a screenshot of that window. Its Spanish for a reason. – Ramhound Mar 16 '14 at 0:28
