I receive emails forwarded to me by an external exchange server. The server forwards mails for an old email address to a new email address. The way this is done leaves me with an email, that contains both addresses as recipients, resulting in me replying to myself whenever I use "Reply All", and all other parties involved now defacto sending me each message twice.

The administrators of the external exchange server are uncooperative, so I'm left with trying to handle this on my client end.

Is there a way to handle this scenario using Thunderbird? I would like to strip the recipient for the old address from each email received this way, but it seems the built-in message filters do not contain any action that would allow for this.
